Meet Lara – The Heart Behind the Recipes

When I was just 12, my world changed forever I lost my mother, and from then on it was just my father and me. As he grew older, I naturally stepped into the kitchen, not only to put food on the table but to care for him in the deepest way I knew how.
I learned by doing. Every recipe became more than nourishment it became a gesture of love, comfort, and connection. Over the years, I started creating healthy, simple meals to support his aging body, and I discovered the true power of food: to heal, to connect, and to express care without words.
Cooking became more than a daily task it became my language. And today, through DelishDose, I share that language with anyone looking for healthy recipes, quick family meals, and comforting dishes made to bring people closer together.
A Family Journey – With Love & Support

At 32, I married Ricky a man who didn’t just fall in love with me, but with the life I had built around the stove. He was the first to say:
“You’ve got something special here, Lara. You need to share it.”
With his encouragement (and his taste-testing skills!), DelishDose was born. Today, we raise our 4-year-old daughter in a home filled with flavor, fun, and the occasional flour fight.
Ricky isn’t just a cheerleader. He helps behind the scenes prepping, testing, even jumping in to shoot our videos when our toddler isn’t climbing on him. We’re a team, and this blog is a reflection of our life, our kitchen, and our belief that healthy food should never be complicated only delicious
